Theme of the day – How is your workspace serving you?
Points:
- Dedicate a space to your work.
- Make that space free of distractions and train those around you to observe your work boundaries
- Use that time to do work!
- Set a timer and hold yourself accountable.
Execution: I have a desk upstairs and a place on the dining room table downstairs. Now that I work full time remote, I use the bedroom for my day job so I can close the door and have no interruptions. I’ll also bring my personal computer upstairs when I want to get some work done with no distractions.
Personal Notes: I do love a good office set up. Office/writing supplies are my weakness. The challenge is getting out my calendar and actually scheduling time to get the work done. The hardest part is usually sitting down. Once I’m in the chair, it’s usually simple to get started on the actual work. The challenge is also to keep the momentum going. Here’s to ongoing forward movement.
