Theme of the day – Organizing your space makes it easier to organize your time and your goals.
Points:
- Organization makes everything simpler – the task might not be easy, but you’ll be able to see it better when you’re organized
- Start small – organize one area and see how it feels. Use that momentum to radiate outward and push you forward
Execution: I’ve seen the benefits of being organized first hand. I wasn’t born organized, but I learned that the more organized I am, the calmer I feel. I am also looking to grow continually as I refine what works and what doesn’t. I have systems for tracking my spending, organizing my day, and tracking my tactics and goals. While it takes a bit of discipline and organization to keep up with my systems, the long term reward is the feedback and data.
Personal Notes: I’ve also noticed that organization is contagious. I came home this week to find my mother knee deep into decluttering our back room. It was messy and dirty and took a long time, but was hugely motivating. I caught her inspiration and used it to start in on some of my own projects. Keep moving forward.
